Metals Thermal processing specialist Bodycote has bought the heat treatment business of Curtiss-Wright for $52 million. The nine US sites acquired - including three in Wichita - delivered $7.7 million operating profit on 2011 sales of $36.5 million, principally from the commercial aerospace and oil and gas industries. Bodycote has 170 facilities in 27 countries.
