France signals Gabriel successor plan with adapted Falcon 8X procurement

Paris has awarded Dassault and Thales a contract to prepare the first two of an eventual three Falcon 8X long-range business jets adapted for signals intelligence (SIGINT) duties. France's DGA defence procurement agency late last year announced the selection of the modified trijets to replace the air force's current two Dassault-Breguet C160G Gabriel platforms. The new assets should be in operational use from 2025.
