R-R provides new thrust for Wideroe's emissions mission

Norwegian regional airline Wideroe is teaming up with Rolls-Royce for a two-year project of research into zero-carbon aircraft. The project is part of the airline's plan to replace and electrify its fleet of 40-plus aircraft by 2030. R-R says it is providing expertise on electrical and systems design. Operational studies and proof-of-concept work have already begun, and teams in Norway and the UK are working together on a daily basis.
