Las Vegas airports' resident fixed-base operators hit the jackpot on 2 May as large numbers of private aircraft carrying hundreds of VIPs converged on the desert city for the hugely anticipated boxing bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. Demand for space at the city's McCarran International airport was so high that it was forced to close to private aircraft traffic after reaching ramp-parking capacity. Aircraft were then routed to nearby Henderson Executive and North Las Vegas airports.
