Astralis Club set to acquire fleet of VIP 747-400s

Representatives of an exclusive UK premium society are intending to acquire a Boeing 747-400 fleet for VIP operations to the USA and Middle East. The Astralis Club is planning to take three aircraft initially, with the first two delivered in premium configuration in about 14 months. Astralis markets itself as a "private, platinum-class, international air service". "We are looking at, and inspecting, various aircraft at present," managing director Tony Easton tells FlightGlobal, although he declines to disclose the sources of the jets. He says the layout of passenger accommodation are "somewhat secret" but each will have three lounge areas, plus a piano bar and restaurant, five large "rest rooms" and seating for up to 50 guests.
