A few years ago, a study by the AAA Foundation showed that people at work who sleep only six hours and work more than 60 hours per week have an increased risk for drowsy driving-almost four times greater than the general population. Drowsy driving is estimated to be responsible for at least 40,000 injuries and 1,550 fatalities each year, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
