Women in the Fire and Rescue Service: How is gender inequality being addressed?

How the fire sector looks after its people and promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace has been reported by HMICFRS as needing drastic improvement. There is no question that this is an area under review, and currently there is good work being carried out by the NFCC and organisations such as Women in the Fire Service UK (WFSUK) and the Asian Fire Service Association (AFSA). But how do individuals within the minority groups feel about it all?
