Another bite of the sandwich

The International Association of Cold Storage Contractors launched its Guide on the Design, Construction, Specification and Fire Management of Insulated Structures in Temperature Controlled Environments on 15 July. Jimmy Bittles describes the philosophy behind the Guide. In a bid to alleviate the concerns of all those involved in the sandwich panel debate, the European Division of the International Association of Cold Storage Contractors (IACSC) has launched a new guide. This provides detailed information on the design, construction and fire management of temperature controlled insulated structures so that the standard of new building design and of refurbishments will be improved and fire risks reduced.
