Cost-cutting initiative

A new cost-cutting regional finance project will streamline procedures within three fire and rescue services in the East Midlands area of England and help ensure public funds are better spent. The Regional Finance and Procurement System, a joint initiative between Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire, aims to deliver financial savings, enhance financial governance and performance, and ensure better e-govemment working.
