FDS provides healthy solution in Tower Hamlets

An innovative fire engineering strategy for a new state-of-the-art health centre in Tower Hamlets, east London, has been developed by FDS Consult.rnThe £12m Barkantine Health and Wellbeing Centre, designed by architects Hunter & Partners for the local NHS Primary Care Trust, is the first facility of its kind to feature a birthing pool centre. The complex building, which offers general practitioner facilities, transitional primary care, birthing, dental and community services, as well as a pharmacy and cafe, also incorporates an open-plan double-height atrium.
