In defence of Eurocode 1 and its scope of application

I refer to the article in the December issue, titled Out of range, by Anna Jonsdorottir and Guillermo Rein. It seems to paint a rather gloomy picture about the scope of application of Eurocode 1 (BS EN 1991-1-2) on Fire Actions.rnAs the original author of the supporting published document PD 6688-1-2, the UK National Applications Document (NAD) to BS EN 1991-1-2 and the UK representative in attending European meetings as far back as the late 1990s and early 2000s, I was responsible for conducting the validation work based upon the fire research data at that time.
