Phoenix cleat is cost-effective alternative to cast iron

A Range of fire-proof cable cleats designed specifically for installation with fire protection-rated (FP) cables has been launched by Ellis Patents. Called Phoenix, the range is manufactured in 316L stainless steel and is described as fire proof and corrosion resistant. Richard Shaw, managing director, says: 'In order for FP-rated cables to continue working in an emergency, they need to remain not just intact, but in place - something that simply cannot be guaranteed without the use of restraints that have the same fire-resistant properties as the cables they are restraining.'
