A canadian fire service has acquired new equipment to help protect the community from structural damage in the event of a wildfire. Peachland Fire and Rescue Service bought the equipment, known as a Wildfire Automated Suppression and Protection (WASP) system, which includes a trailer containing over 1,500 feet of hose and sprinklers paired with cell phone and satellite technology that allows it to be operated remotely and off site.
