Activated Carbon Advanced Grpd Test Method

Activated carbon users, suppliers, and manufacturers need to know about the best available technology to fully characterize their activated carbons. This test method was invented by Dr. Greenbank and it has been named Gravimetric Rapid Pore Size Distribution (GRPD). GRPD reveals the full range of adsorption energy binding sites and corresponding pore volumes in your materials. ASTM iodine, butane and BET numbers provide total pore volume, but do not provide full incremental pore volumes as a function of binding sites energy. GRPD provides you calculated BET, surface area, pore size distribution, and more importantly Freundlich plots of isotherms for a wide range of organics, trace capacity number and much more.
