INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AS A DECISION-MAKING TOOL TO SUPPORT SME'S

In countries whose industrial structure mainly rests on SMEs, like in Portugal (and in Europe in general), the strategic use of information can only be realized by using new organizational solutions which result from the implementation of a national information management strategy, to which should be added increased awareness of the usefulness of information as a support for strategic decisions on the part of SME managers.
