摘要

A high percentage of anomalous long distance TV signals was observed in band-I (54-88 MHz) during summer of 1988, when monitored between early morning and midnight hours at Ames, Iowa, USA. In addition to the tropospheric propagation for shorter distances, sporadic-E and F-region irregularities have been found to be mainly responsible for the propagation of these TV signals to longer distances.
