Austal building Auto Express trimaran

Austal has started marketing a new Auto Express 102 trimaran that will be available for delivery in February 2010. The design will carry up to 1,165 passengers and 245 cars or 145 cars plus 190 truck lane metres. Three MTU 20V 8000 M71L diesels, rated at 9,100 kW at 1,150 rpm, and Wartsila LJX 1300 water jets will be installed to give the vessel a 340 dwt/90% mcr speed of 39 knots.
