摘要

The oil and gas industry suffers from suspension of administrators' decision because of the delay of getting information. Communication delayed due to a long time of getting information from the oil and gas field, information such as maintenance of equipment and any system failure in oil and gas fields. As we know, petroleum plays a key role in human civilization progress and the delay leads to lack of progress. Oil and gas industry like other industries has an enormous growth of information and also has a lot of different devices such as (oil pumps, tanks, mobiles, etc. ...). These devices need to be connected to solve the problem of information delaying with a cheap solution which cannot happen without applying Internet of Things (IoT) on oil and gas industry to sense and monitor every area of oil and gas operations. IoT is the best technology if it is applied because systems like SCADA and WSN that monitor the industry of oil and gas suffer from remarkable limitations, for example, systems based on WSN are not compatible or homogeneous because transparency and communication between regions is lacked, on the other side, SCADA systems are not cheaper, besides being not flexible or scalable at all and provide stakeholders with data in a long time. Our proposed system directs to solve the problems faced by the gas and oil industry on Al-Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) Company by providing stakeholders with more information about the field such as the failure in the system with an accurate location to ensure applying safety measures in the field. The system helps to prevent loss of funds because of poverty for the provided information. Also, the system improves the operation of maintenance procedure to get a high quality of service by developing QR code for each device used in oil and gas fields.
