The fourth edition of ISO 8217:2010 marine fuel specifications has been published and now replaces the 2005 edition of the standard. FOBAS has been closely involved in the development of this revision and believes it will provide greater protection than the previous 2005 edition.rnWhile most ship operators would expect routine fuel tests to be sufficient, incorporating an adjustment in parameter limits, ship operators affected by environmental statutory sulphur limits should also consider new fuel tests that identify key areas of concern such as lubricity and oxidation stability.
