Insurers move closer to their Asian clients

Marine insurers need to be established in Asia as clients demand closer relationships, but it should not be at the expense of underwriters' global operating strategies. Mike Hall, chief underwriting officer at the Britannia P&l Club, told Fairplay that the club is moving forward with plans to establish underwriting branches in Hong Kong and Singapore as it seeks to ensure that its Asian members are able to access the highest service levels.
