Checklist tackles fire safety deficiencies

The Marine Fire Safety Pocket Checklist is the fourth in a series of guides aimed at helping owners, operators and crew comply with international convention requirements and reducing the risk of port state control detention.rnLloyd's Register and the UK P&I Club have analysed fire-risk-related deficiencies found by port state control inspectors in ports worldwide over a three-year period. By relating these findings to their own experienced observations, LR and UK P&l were able to develop a reusable checklist thatrnshould help crew members preempt and manage the risk of fire more effectively.
