A highlight of Norwegian ship design, innovation and production in 2009 was the delivery of the 121.5m Far Samson, ranking as the most potent offshore support ship built to date by measure of bollard pull, and distinguished on a number of additional counts in its degree of multi-functionalityrnand adoption of a hybrid power system. The ship is also unusual in having two working deck levels.
