Awnings on to facades

Around six months ago, in Mexico City's central area on the Insurgentes Avenue, an odd building was inaugurated. It is a "mixed-use" construction with a hotel in the upper floors and offices in the lower ones. The chain hotel "Fiesta Inn" is the owner of this hostelry for executives, which is designed to serve a modernized area that grew up in the first decades of the past century. Recently, in this part of the city, a renaissance has taken place due mainly to the arrival of "yuppies" (young urban professionals) and business people, who seek to live near their work to avoid long trips in daily transit. As a result, several actions are taking place: old buildings are being restored, luxury apartments are being built, and public and private services (this hotel, for example) are increasing in number and quality. This Fiesta Inn has 28 floors and most of the windows on the south and east facades are covered by sun shades made with membrane. The first three floors are designed for car parking, and here the facade is covered by climbing plants over steel netting.
