Climate, biodiversity and efficient use of resources top agenda

Environment policy over the next six months will be more political than technical. The Polish EU Presidency's agenda includes, from an international perspective, climate change and sustainable development, and from an EU standpoint biodiversity and efficient use of resources. Discussions with the European Parliament are expected to conclude by year's end with a second half of the year. Negotiations are still making no headway, as confirmed by preparatory discussions in Bonn, Germany, on 6-17 June.
