EESC puts accent on micro-enterprises

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is concerned about the necessity of refocusing the Small Business Act (SBA) for Europe on small and micro-enterprises. The committee opened the debate at a public hearing, in Brussels on 28 June, on its preliminary draft opinion on the Commission's communication calling for the development post-2013 of a "new European programme dedicated specifically to SMEs, whose tasks would include transversal measures focused on the competitiveness of SMEs specifically targeting small and micro-enterprises".
