After tense debates and difficult compromises, the European Parliament delivered, in plenary on 6 April, its contribution to the European Commission's consultation on the Single Market Act (SMA). It is made up of three non-legislative resolutions drawn up in the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumers (IMCO), the source of this major initiative, as pointed out by its Chair, Malcolm Harbour (ECR, UK). He welcomed "having successfully steered this very ambitious project to completion with support from all the groups". Each report corresponds to part of the SMA.
