Public consultation on greenhouse gas emissions from ships

Following on from air transport, the European Commission now has its eye on shipping. It launched an online public constultation, on 19 January, in line with the policy it has implemented since adoption of the updated 2008 directive on the Emission Trading Scheme (ETS), to identify possible measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from shipping1. Interested parties have until 12 April 2012 to submit observations.
