'I don't see why we should put off the vote'

Pressure is rising in the final days ahead of the European Parliament's plenary session vote on the draft directive on the manufacture, presentation and sale of tobacco products. Some MEPs are even said to be pushing for postponement of the vote until the October session. For rapporteur Linda McAvan (S&D, UK), this is nothing more than an attempt to get more time to weaken the European Commissions proposals.
