摘要

In recent years, trade unions have been losing members across Europe, even in the Nordic countries where they had previously resisted the downward trend. Their resilience had owed much to the 'Ghent' systems of union-linked unemployment insurance, and their more recent reversals have reflected government inroads into these systems.
