Criminal Proceedings against the Administrators of a BitTorrent Tracker: Finreactor KKO 2010:47

The Supreme Court of Finland held on June 30, 2010 that the system administrators of the file-sharing network "Finreactor" were guilty of copyright violation and liable to pay compensation to the Finnish Composers' Copyright Society Teosto and 52 other complainants on the grounds of copyright infringements. Previously, the District Court and the Court of Appeal had taken the same view.
