摘要

In light of the continuous requirements for increased energy efficiency and utilisation of renewable sources in the future it is inevitable that the District Heating (DH) supply and return temperature will be reduced wherever possible, at the same time as high temperature difference between the supply and return will be in focus. However, to realize this future trend the performance specifications for the applied components on the building side need to be reconsidered accordingly in due time. One of these components is the heat exchanger. What is the effect of increasing its thermal length? The authors present a case example.
