Recycled Material in DH Pipes

Logstor has taken an important step towards a more sustainable future, with the development of district heating pipes wholly or partially produced from recycled material. This is the first step in a Logstor-vi-sion that aims at 100% recycling and circular economy. The company joined forces with different experts, and together created the world's first District Heating pipe with recycled plastic. Lemvig Klimatorium, Denmark's future international climate center is the first project to use District Heating pipes with recycled plastic. Partners in this project include Lemvig Varmevaerk, Broen and Plastix who joined forces to find ideas for usage of plastic collected in the sea. While Plastix has the aim to integrate green plastics into products, Broen supplied a valve for the project, wich offers remote monitoring.
