The Nature of Wind Power

The author of this book, the Danish landscape architect Frode Birk Nielsen, has over the past 20 years been involved in the design, location and visualization of wind turbines in the landscape, mainly in Denmark but also increasingly abroad. His office, Birk Nielsen, has advised the Danish Forest and Nature Agency and the Danish Energy Agency in formulating strategies and guidelines for placing wind turbines, and in doing so landscape architects have contributed to shaping the landscape of a country that is highly ambitious. This ambition is not only evident in developing renewable resources, but also in making people love this form of sustainable energy production.
