Sulphuric Acid Leaching of the Serbian Nickel Lateritic Ore

摘要

The extraction of nickel from the Serbian nickel lateritic ore by sulphuric acid leaching has been studied. Atmospheric leaching at temperatures as high as 363 K generally resulted in nickel extraction of up to 78 %. The influence of the reaction parameters of temperature, time, sulphuric acid concentration and stirring speed on the kinetics of metal extraction was determined. The results showed that the nickel dissolution from lateritic ore is controlled by the "inner diffusion" model. Techniques such as ICP spec-trometry, DTA and TGA analysis have been used to investigate the ore after various treatments.
