EPA paniculate matter health effects document criticized

An EPA draft assessment of health risks from airborne particulate matter has been strongly criticized by a key Agency advisory committee that claims the document fails to establish a scientific basis for setting new regulations on particu-lates. The Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee (CASAC) also asked to review the document a second time after EPA revises it, but a court order may prevent the panel from taking another look.
