Comment on 'Role of Detection limits in Drinking Water Regulations'

I applaud Environmental Science & Technology for recendy publishing a study that analyzes drinking water policy ("Role of Detection Limits in Drinking Water Regulations" by Calder and Schmitt), an area that receives less focus than other environmental issues such as clean air, greenhouse gases, fisheries, etc. However, the paper omits a recent significant regulation action by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) that runs counter to the study's conclusion.
