"The best way to predict the future is to create it." is a quote attributed to everyone from Abraham Lincoln to Peter Drucker. Regardless of its debated origins, the sentiment is that we do not simply have the luxury of being passive observers of the events that impact our world. Rather we must be active participants that shape them. In today's chaotic world of pandemics and climate change, perhaps now more than ever, change is crucial if we wish to move toward a more sustainable civilization. Maybe the above quote should be adjusted to "Trying to predict the future is futile; while creating the future is imperative." This is exactly why the establishment of our new Early Career Advisory Board is so important.
