What is it about climate change that makes it so difficult for humanity to grasp and take action?rnPolls of public opinion in the United States nowrnshow that an overwhelming majority of Americans recognize the dangers of climate change. They realize that greenhouse gases in Earth's atmosphere are rising to dangerous levels and that climate change is a serious problem. Why then are we unable to support significant policy changes to revolutionize our energy production? And why are we so slow to modify our own lifestyles, even for simple things like switching to compact fluorescent (CFL) lightbulbs, recycling our trash, or driving more fuel-efficient automobiles?
