摘要

Photovoltaic electricity generation offers an opportunity for establishments from single homes or businesses up to large industrial complexes and communities to produce their own electricity and even provide electricity to the electric power grid for use by others. Brazil is one of many countries to embrace its use. In this article, the authors examine the variables that affect electrical generation from a photovoltaic module array installed at a university in Southern Brazil. Length of insolation time and weather conditions affect electricity generation, however, the results throughout the entire year during which the study was conducted showed good results from this energy source.
