In response to requests for reconsideration from industry and environmental groups, the EPA is proposing amendments to two linked sets of National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) covering industrial, commercial, and institutional boilers at both area sources and major sources of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). The major source proposal also addresses process heaters, which are not targeted in the area source proposal.
