The Alabama Department of Environmental Management proposed to amend its hazardous waste regulations. The amendments would incorporate changes in federal regulations, adopt certain state-specific requirements, and provide clarification of state requirements for management of hazardous waste management. The Alaska Department of Education and Early Development proposed to adopt 2016 energy-efficiency standards for the construction and renovation of school facilities. The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation proposed to amend its regulations concerning land disposal of low-level naturally occurring radioactive material. The amendments would allow for land disposal of these materials in certain permitted Alaska landfills with the most protective containment design.
