Oxford goes west to revive EMR

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) specialist Oxford Instruments has added the AffirmoEX electron magnetic resonance (EMR) system to its benchtop instrumentation range. The AffirmoEX is intended to be an affordable system that takes up minimal bench space, and does not require the large magnets and cooling systems needed by older style systems. The machine is the first fruit of a collaboration deal between Oxford Instruments and the California-based micro-EMR company Active Spectrum.
