摘要

The world is half drowned and the sea is pink. The climate has changed and carbon credits are the new currency. A tribe of Tekkies have constructed a climate-regulated island of plastic and metal, often spending their time doing things that mean nothing. Captured into this world is an African girl who is the keeper of a lion and after experiencing the Tekkies world of 'hard walls, hard voices and hard places' longs for freedom. She misses 'the sound of the clean wind across the living land and green places'.
