Metal brings benefits to collection UK study shows

A new study has found that including metal cans -both steel and aluminium - in kerbside collection schemes can offer significant economic benefits to local authorities. The study, funded by the UK Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and supported by the metal industries, examined the economic impacts of including metal packaging (steel and aluminium food and drink cans and foil) in kerbside collections of household recyclables.
