MEPs look at 'disappointing' resource strategy

The European Parliament's environment committee meets this week in Brussels. The agenda is dominated by food safety, health and consumer issues but amid the reports on rotten meat and health claims is Kartika Liotard's on the thematic strategy on the sustainable use of natural resources. The strategy was harshly criticised by MEPs last time it came up in committee and many wanted it scrapped completely.
