'Zero' progress on Belgian packaging co-operation agreement

Belgium is no closer to getting new co-operation agreements on packaging than it was a year ago, green dot scheme Fost Plus's managing director Henri Meiresonne confirmed at the 8 May General Assembly. The 2004 revision of the packaging and packaging waste directive should have been transposed into national law by August 2005, but this step had not been taken in Belgium. As a result new framework agreements had not been made between the three Belgian regions - Brussels, Wallonia and Flanders.
