Incineration group calls for new wording of the waste hierarchy

High temperature incineration, in view of its environmental benefits and role in decontamination, should be given a special status. That was the message of trade body Eurits (the European Union for Responsible Incineration and Treatment of Special Waste) in its comments on the proposal to revise the waste framework directive, adopted by the European Commission on 21 December.
