France looks to green revolution

France is gearing up to a green revolution this week when proposals on issues such as genetically modified organisms (GMOs), taxes on CO_2 emissions, "carbon positive" housing and increased funding for "bio" agriculture are released ahead of a high profile environment summit next month.rnThe summit will, for the first time, bring together business federations, trade unions, environmental groups and government representatives in order to agree on a set of policies aimed at putting France on track towards its ultimate goal of a 75 per cent reduction in CO_2 emissions by 2050.
