MEPs urge quicker action on ship dismantling

The EU should work more quickly to solve the ship dismantling problem - that is causing death and illness such as asbestosis in Southern Asia and developing countries. That was the message of Dutch MEP (Independent Democrats) Hans Blokland at the 25 February European Parliament Environment Committee, supported by MEPs and the Commission DG Environment representative.
