Phthalates 'feminising' the brains of baby boys

Chemicals found in food contact materials are "feminising" the brains of baby boys, according to a new study which says boys exposed to high doses in the womb are less likely to play with "male" toys such as cars.rnThe study looked at phthalates, chemicals that can mimic the female sex hormone oestrogen, and found that boys born to women with a high amount of phthalates in pregnancy are less likely to play with cars or guns.
